What to Do If Your Pet Needs Emergency Veterinary Care

We do our best to be here for our patients when an emergency arises during our business hours.
  • Monday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • Tuesday 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Wednesday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • Thursday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Saturday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Sunday Closed
If your pet is experiencing an emergency, contact our office immediately at 905-792-2200. We will provide you with instructions for stabilizing your pet and getting veterinary care right away.

Poison Ingestion

If your pet has ingested a potentially toxic substance, seek emergency care immediately. We are partnered with Pet Poison Helpline, which can provide immediate assistance over the phone.

Is Your Pet Having an Emergency?

It can sometimes be difficult to know the difference between a veterinary emergency and a problem that can wait to be treated.
Signs of an emergency in pets include:
  • Allergic Reactions
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Heat exhaustion
  • Lack of bowel movements
  • Lethargy or Anorexia
  • Persistent vomiting or diarrhea
  • Poison ingestion
  • Seizure or collapse
  • Trauma or injury
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
